Clifton Gardens

Crawford and Gray Architects / Galata Studio had been appointed to fully refurbish two flats in Clifton Gardens, Meda Vale, and merge them into a spacious maisonette apartment. The flats being at the top of the building, it was decided to locate the living space and the kitchen on the upper level to take advantage of the roof space, new rooflights and access to a terrace at the rear, whilst all the bedrooms, bathrooms and utility place were located at lower level. From the entrance hall a floating metal and timber staircase leads up to the living space a separate hall to the more private space of the bedroom.
